Delegated legislation

Delegated legislation is made under powers conferred by primary legislation and is scrutinised through the parliamentary procedure specified by the enabling Act.

Statutory instruments

Orders, regulations and other statutory instruments may be subject to affirmative, negative or another procedure where the enabling legislation provides for it.

Committees

Delegated legislation may be examined by the committees or House procedures responsible for technical, legal or policy scrutiny.

Publication

The parliamentary record shows laying and scrutiny. The authoritative enacted or made text is published through legislation.gov.uh.
