What the Lords does
The Lords scrutinises and revises Bills, examines delegated legislation, debates public matters and contributes specialist and constitutional scrutiny. It is not the confidence chamber.
Current sitting position
No ordinary sitting programme is published.
The post-election Lords is not yet operating its ordinary sitting programme during the current transitional establishment period. Office-holders and members are published only when valid appointment or membership records exist.
