House of Commons Commission
Supervises the administration and services of the House of Commons. It is a House-side body and does not manage Government business.
House of Commons administration
House-side offices and services supporting the elected House, the Speaker, Members, committees, records, standards and public information.
House administration is not Government administration.
The Office of the Leader of the House of Commons manages Government business in the Commons. It does not administer the House, own Commons records or direct the Speaker, Clerk, committees, Library, Hansard or standards machinery.
Speaker’s Office
Supports the Speaker in presiding over and representing the House and in the exercise of the Speaker’s parliamentary functions.
Clerk of the House of Commons
The principal procedural adviser to the House and a senior authority for Commons procedure and records.
Governance Office
Supports House governance, administration and corporate decision-making.
Commons Executive Board
Supports strategic management of House of Commons administration and services.
Committee Directorate
Provides clerking, procedural advice, evidence handling, inquiry support, records and publication services for Commons committees.
House of Commons Library
Provides impartial research, briefing and information to Members and the House.
Commons Hansard / Official Report
Produces the edited verbatim Official Report of Commons proceedings and relevant committee proceedings.
Scrutiny Unit
Provides specialist support on Bills, draft legislation, public expenditure, departmental performance and technical scrutiny.
Serjeant at Arms Directorate
Supports order, access, security and operational arrangements for the House under parliamentary authority.
Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards
Supports the House of Commons standards system, including standards, interests and conduct within the Commissioner’s jurisdiction.
Commons Media Relations and public information
Provides public information about the work of the House independently of Government Communications.
Individual office-holders are published only when a valid appointment or election record exists.
