House of Commons administration
The Commission, Speaker’s Office, Clerk, Committee Directorate, Library, Hansard, Scrutiny Unit, Serjeant at Arms, standards and Commons public information.
Parliamentary administration
The House-side offices and services that support the House of Commons, the House of Lords, committees, Members, proceedings, records and the parliamentary publication estate.
Parliamentary administration is independent of Government administration.
The Offices of the Leaders of the Houses manage Government business in Parliament. They do not administer the Houses, own parliamentary records or direct House office-holders.
House of Lords administration
The Lord Speaker’s Office, Clerk of the Parliaments, Black Rod, committee and legislative offices, Library, Hansard and other Lords services.
Joint and bicameral services
Archives, digital publication, parliamentary website, security and access coordination, public information, education and other services supporting both Houses.
Parliamentary standards
House standards machinery and the statutory framework for parliamentary salaries, allowances and financial compliance.
Current transitional work
During the present transition, parliamentary administration supports the Committee on Transitional Government, transitional legislative publication, parliamentary records and preparation for ordinary post-election operation. Transitional administration does not confer Member of Parliament status and does not replace the two Houses.
